Rethymno is located in central Crete and lies between Chania and Heraklion. It is the third-largest town in Crete and is known for having the most charmingly picturesque town showcasing medieval architecture, the Venetian Harbor filled with fishing boats, and lined with tavernas. Less than a 15 minute drive from the centre lies our villa, located in the wonderful village of Skaleta.
Skaleta offers cultural pride and natural beauty in the peaceful surroundings of olive trees, orange trees, the beautiful Lake Kournas, and its many beautiful, sandy beaches where you can often spot giant sea turtles! The waters are shallow and crystal clear.
